I found the main characters captivating but menacing and dangerous in their own ways. She is still friends with Cece and Mira but they have their own problems. Meraki is with Luca but all is not as it seems between them. We find out bits of what happened while he was away and the effects his disappearance had on those left behind. All hell breaks loose and the story really gets going when the MC Prez dies, passing the gavel to Niko and he returns home.
The twins father is the VP of the Halsin chapter of the VII Knights MC and Niko was looking forward to patching in when he turned eighteen but when tragedy struck, he just disappeared. Meraki grew up with Niko and his twin Ari and they were all best friends with Jeremiah, Luca, Cece and Mira. Nikolai ‘Niko’ Davis aka Antichrist and Meraki Mallory aka Ruckus are the main characters. Then the author goes back to the past to introduce us to the group of teenagers that are central to the whole story before fast forwarding to the present. It begins two years after the present and the killing starts straight away, leaving you wondering why this murder has taken place.
It took me a while to get into the story because it is a bit confusing to work out the timeline and keep track of what happened when. It was a shame because the premise of the plot was quite good but the author packed it full of side issues and characters that it lost its way for me. I am a lover of dark reads but this author has baffled and confused me with this book.
